  BALL ON THREE DISK (BOTD) TEST MACHINE

The Ball on Three Disk (BOTD) Test Stand is a light weight, compact, dedicated system for evaluating wear properties of diesel fuels and other low viscosity fluids.

The test stand incorporates an upper 1/2 inch diameter ball rotating at 60 rpm against three 1/4 inch diameter disks in a tetrahedral orientation.

The test stand predicts a diesel fuel’s ability to prevent wear of moving parts in fuel injection systems.

Recently, the same test principle has been used to evaluate small differences in anti-wear properties of aqueous emulsions.

FOUR-BALL EXTREME PRESSURE TESTER

Measures a lubricant’s extreme pressure properties under High Hertzian contact in pure sliding, or pure rolling motion. The test is used to determine the load carrying properties of a lubricant at high test loads.

  FALEX PIN & VEE BLOCK TEST MACHINE

A laboratory tool for evaluating wear, friction and extreme pressure properties of materials and lubricants. The equipment rotates a ¼ inch diameter test pin against two ½ inch diameter vee blocks.  A four line contact is established as load is applied through a mechanical gage by a ratchet wheel and an eccentric arm.

The Falex Pin & Vee Block Test Machine is available in manual, digital or computer controlled configuration.
